Maintenance Add-Ons

Transplanting may be necessary to create more space between plants as they fill in. The process varies depending on the species of plant and time of year. Generally, the best time to transplant is in late summer into the fall.

A process best used for poor soil conditions at planting or renovating a mature plant bed to ensure proper nutrients and healthy growth.

All existing mulch is removed, and a compost blend is either tilled-in or laid on top that will break down and provide roots with nutrients. Fresh mulch applied thereafter.

Perennial Division provides 4 main benefits:

  1. Reinvigorates Growth
  2. Thin Out and Reduce Overcrowding.
  3. Remove Diseased or Damaged Materials.
  4. Multiply Plants.

Mulching yearly may raise the grade around woody plants over a long period of time. A root collar excavation may be necessary to prolong the lifespan of trees and shrubs.
